David Jones is an employment law consultant specialising in disability discrimination and neurodiversity in the workplace.
With more than 10 years experience as a specialist employment lawyer, David has managed Employment Tribunal claims relating to disability discrimination at work.
During his career David has worked at leading national law firms with highly ranked employment law teams.
Outside the Workguide consultancy, David remains a practising solicitor on a freelance basis, as a consultant solicitor with several law firms.
David’s interest in neurodiversity developed after he received his own Autism diagnosis in 2019.
Having been through the experience of an adult diagnosis, David understands what individuals go through after they receive a diagnosis and adjusting to their neurodiversity at work.

David has worked on many cases involving disability discrimination, failure to make reasonable adjustments, failure to provide auxiliary aids, failure to modify physical features of premises, unfavourable treatment for a reason arising from a disability, harassment related to disability, and victimisation under the Equality Act 2010.

- A music teacher with ADHD whose contract was cancelled because of complaints by colleagues when the behaviour complained of related to their ADHD
- A health worker who was dismissed because of a meltdown at work which arose from their Autism
- An investigations officer with Dyslexia who was subjected to performance review because of concerns about reading speed and accuracy
- An editor who had a job offer withdrawn once they disclosed their Dyslexia to the recruiter

- An individual with Multiple Sclerosis dismissed by their employer for the reason of capability without any attempt implement reasonable adjustments before dismissal
- An administrative worker with a sensory condition who had a job promotion withdrawn
- A security guard with Diabetes who required adjustments to shift work to manage their symptoms
